Originally from Birmingham, AL, Kate spent her childhood years in dance and competitive gymnastics. She transitioned to theater and dance and graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). She is currently performing on the first national tour of the Tony Award winning musical Pippin as a swing and Fastrada Understudy. Other favorite theatre credits include 42nd Street (Peggy Sawyer), Singin’ in the Rain (Kathy Selden), South Pacific (Dinah Murphy/ Dance Captain), U.S. premiere of Betty Blue Eyes (Kitt), West Side Story (Minnie / Dance Captain), and numerous other roles and Dance Captain responsibilities. Named both a 2013 Roger Sturtevant Musical Theatre Award Winner through Actors’ Equity and 2013 winner of the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music Emerging Artist Award, Kate is thrilled to share her excitement for dance and theatre with students around the world as well as provide choreography for studios. She is a proud Stage Door Connections Teacher and a member of Actor’s Equity.
